FULLY REACTED ZINC BISGLYCINATE
10 mg zinc · 100% NRV
What does it do?
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal hair, skin and nails. It also contributes to normal protein synthesis—the process through which the body builds proteins from amino acids.
What makes this form distinctive?
In zinc bisglycinate, zinc is bound to two molecules of an amino acid called glycine. This amino acid–bound structure is known as a chelate.
“Fully reacted” means that the chelate structure has been formed during manufacturing, rather than simply mixing a zinc source with glycine.
How does it differ from other zinc sources?
Compared with zinc oxide or zinc sulphate, the difference lies in its chemical structure: the zinc is bound to amino acids. The degree of any absorption advantage cannot be determined from the ingredient name alone.
The 10 mg stated on the label refers to the actual zinc content, providing 100% of the daily reference value.

QUATREFOLIC®
Glucosamine salt of 5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid
200 μg folate · 100% NRV
What does it do?
Folate, also known as vitamin B9, plays a role in cell division and contributes to normal blood formation and amino acid synthesis. These are fundamental processes involved in the body’s ongoing renewal of cells.
What makes this form distinctive?
Quatrefolic® provides 5-MTHF, a biologically active form of folate that also occurs in the body.
Conventional folic acid must undergo several conversion steps before it becomes 5-MTHF. HONEYBRUSH provides this folate form directly, so conversion from folic acid is not required.
What does this mean when choosing a supplement?
The distinction is the specific folate form used. The 200 μg serving provides 100% of the daily reference value. An active form does not, however, automatically mean better absorption for everyone or more noticeable hair results.
D-BIOTIN
200 μg · 400% NRV
What does it do?
Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and skin. It also plays a part in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and amino acids.
What does D-biotin mean?
D-biotin is the biologically active form of biotin and is commonly used in food supplements. The main point of distinction here is the amount, rather than an unusual or exclusive ingredient form.
Why not several thousand micrograms?
The daily reference value is 50 μg, so HONEYBRUSH provides four times that amount. This is a substantial contribution, while being one twenty-fifth of a 5,000 μg serving.
For people with adequate biotin status, there is no convincing evidence that very large amounts provide additional benefits for hair. High-dose biotin can, however, interfere with certain laboratory tests.
Some thyroid tests may produce results that suggest an overactive thyroid, while certain troponin tests used to detect heart muscle injury may give falsely low results. This can be interference with the measurement, rather than a genuine change in hormone levels or heart function.
The 200 μg serving supplements biotin intake without supplying several thousand micrograms. Nevertheless, tell your doctor or laboratory that you take a biotin-containing supplement before a blood test, even at this amount.
L-LYSINE
150 mg · No established NRV
Why does the body need lysine?
Lysine is an amino acid—one of the building blocks of proteins. It is described as “essential” because the body cannot produce it, so it must be obtained through the diet.
Adequate protein intake provides a range of amino acids, of which lysine is one.
What does the L-form mean?
The “L” refers to the amino acid’s structural form: this is the form of lysine used to build proteins in the body. It does not, by itself, indicate a special technology or an advantage over other L-lysine products.
What does 150 mg mean?
It complements lysine obtained from food. It does not replace adequate protein intake or provide the entire daily lysine requirement.
HONEYBRUSH therefore supplies an amino acid alongside its vitamins and zinc. The 150 mg amount alone does not establish a proven hair-growth effect.
A CLEAR FORMULA, WITH CLEARLY STATED AMOUNTS
The biotin and zinc in HONEYBRUSH contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. The formula also provides additional vitamins, MSM and L-lysine in precisely identified forms and amounts.
The daily amounts of vitamin C, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12 and zinc each provide 100% of the EU Nutrient Reference Value. Biotin provides 400%.
Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving.
METHYLSULFONYLMETHANE
600 mg · No established NRV
What is this ingredient?
MSM is an organic sulphur-containing compound. It occurs in small amounts in various foods. Here, “organic” describes its chemical classification; it does not mean organically certified.
What form does HONEYBRUSH contain?
The formula contains methylsulfonylmethane. The ingredient list does not identify a specific branded MSM raw material, so special purity or absorption advantages cannot be established from the name alone.
What does 600 mg mean?
This is the amount of MSM provided by the daily serving. Unlike vitamins, MSM has no established EU Nutrient Reference Value, so it cannot be expressed as a percentage of a daily requirement.
It is an additional component of the formula alongside the vitamins and zinc. The 600 mg amount should not, however, be presented as a proven optimal dose for hair growth.
NICOTINAMIDE
16 mg · 100% NRV
What does it do?
Niacin is another name for vitamin B3. It contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, the maintenance of normal skin, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Why is the nicotinamide form worth knowing about?
Niacin comes in several forms. Two of these are nicotinic acid and nicotinamide—the form found in HONEYBRUSH.
At certain doses, nicotinic acid can cause temporary skin redness, warmth, tingling or itching. This is known as the “niacin flush.” Nicotinamide does not cause this characteristic flushing reaction.
What is the practical difference?
This is a tangible difference between the two forms: nicotinamide provides vitamin B3 without the flushing associated with nicotinic acid. It does not mean that it is free from every possible side effect.
The 16 mg serving provides 100% of the daily reference value.
CALCIUM D-PANTOTHENATE
6 mg pantothenic acid · 100% NRV
What does it do?
Pantothenic acid, also known as vitamin B5, contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. It also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal mental performance.
What does this form mean?
Calcium D-pantothenate is the calcium salt of pantothenic acid, used as a source of vitamin B5. The calcium in its name is part of the compound; this does not make the product a calcium supplement.
What should you know about the amount?
The 6 mg refers to the vitamin B5 provided and corresponds to 100% of the daily reference value.
This is an established form of vitamin B5. Its value lies in providing a clearly defined vitamin intake, rather than an unproven advantage over other supplements.
METHYLCOBALAMIN
2.5 μg · 100% NRV
What does it do?
Vitamin B12 is important for normal red blood cell formation and the normal functioning of the nervous system. It is also involved in producing the genetic material within cells.
What makes this form distinctive?
Methylcobalamin is one of the active forms of vitamin B12 and is also found in the body.
Cyanocobalamin, a commonly used alternative, is converted by the body into active B12 forms. HONEYBRUSH contains methylcobalamin, so its ingredient is already supplied in one of these active forms.
What does this mean when choosing a supplement?
The active form provides precise information about the formula, but research does not establish generally better absorption for methylcobalamin.
Although 2.5 μg may sound like a small amount, it provides 100% of the daily reference value: vitamin B12 is needed in microgram quantities. This serving complements dietary intake; it is not intended to treat a diagnosed deficiency or an absorption disorder.
PYRIDOXAL-5′-PHOSPHATE, P5P
1.4 mg · 100% NRV
What does it do?
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein metabolism. It supports processes through which the body uses amino acids obtained from food. It also contributes to normal red blood cell formation.
What makes this form distinctive?
P5P is one of the active coenzyme forms of vitamin B6. A coenzyme helps enzymes carry out their work, supporting many processes within the body.
Pyridoxine hydrochloride, another form used in supplements, needs to be converted into an active form. HONEYBRUSH contains vitamin B6 as P5P, although this form also undergoes processing during digestion and utilisation.
Why does the amount matter?
The 1.4 mg serving provides 100% of the daily reference value. Avoiding excessive long-term intake is particularly important with vitamin B6 because it can cause nerve damage.
The amount in HONEYBRUSH is well below the adult upper intake level of 12 mg per day. This upper level includes vitamin B6 from all food and supplement sources combined.
L-ASCORBIC ACID
80 mg · 100% NRV
What does it do?
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin. Collagen is one of the important proteins that give skin its structure.
It also increases iron absorption and contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Why L-ascorbic acid?
L-ascorbic acid is a well-established and extensively studied form of vitamin C. The ascorbic acid used in supplements has similar bioavailability to the ascorbic acid naturally present in foods.
It is a good example of why an ingredient does not need an unusual name to be a suitable vitamin source.
What does 80 mg mean?
It provides 100% of the daily reference value. L-ascorbic acid is not exclusive to HONEYBRUSH; the emphasis here is on a well-understood vitamin source and a clearly stated amount.
